Payment Information

Payment information is processed securely by our payment providers. Makseb does not store your card details.

Third-Party Services

Makseb uses trusted third-party providers to operate the platform, including:

• Supabase (database, authentication, storage)
• Cloudflare (hosting and infrastructure)
• Stripe Managed Payments and Link (subscription billing, payment processing, and Merchant of Record services)
• OMPay (payment processing for businesses that accept customer payments, where enabled)
• Resend (email delivery)
• AI services accessed through OpenRouter (using models from providers such as Google), where AI-assisted features are used
• Analytics services, where applicable

International Data Transfers

Some trusted service providers may process or store data outside the user's country of residence. Makseb takes reasonable steps to protect personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Cookies and browser storage

The public website remembers your language, theme, business-type preview and pricing currency in local storage until you clear it. Cloudflare provides hosting, security and cookieless website analytics. Its security services may set cookies when needed to protect the site.

Affiliate attribution is optional. Only after you allow it, mk_ref stores a partner code across Makseb subdomains for up to 30 days, or until successful attribution clears it. Consented referral clicks may record the partner ID, a salted hash of the IP address, browser user-agent and referral type. Hashing does not make this data anonymous. Declining does not prevent signup.

The mk_affiliate_consent cookie remembers your allow or decline choice for 180 days. Local preferences have no automatic expiry. Browser controls can clear cookies and local storage. Cookie expiry does not delete referral or commission records already recorded; privacy requests are handled under this policy.

Marketing Communications

Makseb only sends promotional emails, WhatsApp messages, or other marketing communications where the user has chosen to receive them. Users may opt out at any time.

AI-Powered Features

Makseb may use AI-powered tools to support certain features, such as recommendations, automation, or customer assistance. These tools process data only as needed to provide those features and are used to support, not replace, human oversight for matters that significantly affect users.

Where you upload documents for verification or onboarding, for example a commercial registration document or a receipt, they may be shared with these AI services solely to read and extract the information needed for that feature. You can always review and correct the extracted results.

Your Customers' Data

Businesses using Makseb enter and manage their own customers' information.

For that data the business is the data controller, and Makseb processes it on the business's behalf.

If you are a customer of a business that uses Makseb, please direct requests about your data to that business.

Public Information

When a business publishes a website or a booking page, the business details and catalogue it chooses to publish become publicly visible.

Data Retention

We retain personal data while an account is active.

After an account is closed, personal data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, unless we are required by law to retain it for longer.

Your Rights

You may request to:

• Access your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account where applicable.
• Withdraw marketing consent.
• Contact us regarding privacy concerns.

Changes

The updated Privacy Policy will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
